He giveth, He taketh

Dear Calvin and Alvin,

I've gotten news about your dad. First of all, I want give you both my sincere condolences for your loss. I may not have lost a family member that is close to me but somehow I know how it feels to lose someone especially that is a close member of your family.

I do not know your dad but I believe that your dad is a very good man. Like all dads, I believe he has worked hard to take care of your family, gave financial support, provided shelter for you all, helped you whenever you needed help, been a responsible and loving dad and whatever else there is.

I believe that it was God's plan for him to have passed away there and then. And now I hope that he's with God and is looking down upon you two and your family from up there. Remember all the good things that he did, maybe like the jokes that he made or when he played with you when you were younger. He may be gone now but he'll live on in your hearts and your memories of him. He has done his duty on this earth.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."

And in John 14:1-4
"Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way I am going."

So don't be too troubled as God will provide you with peace of mind and heart as it is said in John 14:27 "I am leaving you with a gift -- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."

I hope that these few verses here will help you to continue on with your life and what I'm writing here I mean it with my heart =). May God provide your family with peace. God bless! Keep smiling and be happy. One day you'll see him again. Remember that God always gives and takes.

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

Hey everyone, time passes too fast... I felt like I was form 1 last year (2008) and now it's already 2010... I really will miss the year 2009 and I wish I didn't have to go in year 2010 (SPM T.T). Just so everyone knows, I really enjoyed the time spent in 2009 with all my friends! The outings, the camps, the parties. But most of all I really enjoyed the fellowship together =).

So yeah as usual every year, I spent my New Year's Eve's night in church. Just to see the full moon on New Year's Eve feels like such a blessed night. The last day of the year, such a special day. I believe that it's also the right time to be praising, thanking and worshiping God for looking out for us throughout the whole year. And just hope for another great year!

The elder sharing =)

As I was saying, I spent my evening in church. The worship was great as the songs really meant a lot. I really thank the elder, Mr Kwan for sharing that message. Still, the most touching thing was the testimony. It just showed how amazing God is and it also shows that God has a purpose for all of us. (I was so touched that I actually cried a little.) Just right after the testimony we sang 'Mighty to Save' and it really reminded me of what God did for all of us.

As year 2009 ends, I'm really sad to see it go but I really hope that this new year(2010) will bring even more surprises and make it another year that I'll never forget =).

CF Party!

Woo! Had lots of fun last night! Thank you Jean for organizing it and aunty Fei Lee for allowing us to use her house for this party =D. Sorry I don't have any pics for this XP hahaha.

Well, I was the earliest to get there as I lived so nearby XD. So yeah my mum cooked some tom yam meehoon for the party. Thanks mum! hehehe. So when I got there, Jean and her family also just reached back from some shopping lolx. So I helped out a little to prepare for the party.

There was quite a lot of food actually haha. Well, there were nuggets, french fries, coleslaw, mushroom soup, fruit salad, some garlic bread (had to be toasted) to dip into the soup =D, limited edition meatballs and of course my mum's meehoon =O. Well, the drinks was nice as well.

The party was supposed to start at 5 p.m. But since some people couldn't make it that early, it was changed to 6 p.m. At about 6.10 p.m, we had some worship and carols then we went for makan. Wow, when I wanted to take the meehoon it was mostly gone. So I didn't take it cause I could eat it at home =), let other people try it hehehe. Some old seniors and some of the form 5's came later like after we ate haha.

Here comes the fun part, we played a game just to keep us occupied while they were getting ready to prank the form 5's as we do every year haha. They did this, they blindfolded the form 5's and had someone to hold cut banana's and then was told a story about this person that was in World War 2 before and had lost his arms, his legs, and even lost his eyes =O. And they made the form 5's touch the parts and poke into the eyeholes (which was the bananas) haha. Just to scare them =P. There is a video which I think Marcus has it =).

Then we had some sharing session from the form 5's and they were given gifts as something to remember us by and as a token of appreciation. The best part was the fellowship we had after that, where we all chatted away talking about all kinds of stuff. We still continued taking drinks also hahaha =D and we had some candy. O.o

Once again, a party always has to end. Some people went back earlier but in the end all of us also left as it was also getting late =). So we do hope to see you form 5's coming back to CF once in awhile if possible. We will miss you all!

May God Bless,
Jason

SWCC Teens' BBQ Party!

Hey people! Just yesterday I went for this BBQ party organized by my church teen's club =). Wei Wei, Cheng Ching and Nicholas Tan followed me there =D. Thanks to my dad who sent us there haha.

When we got there, we were early and we registered first and passed in our gifts. We really didn't know what to do so we were just lepaking around the place hahaha =P. There were definitely a lot of new faces =). Even fellow schoolmates were there hahaha.

Then, we all went upstairs to the hall and we had an ice-breaker. Each of us had to name an ingredient and then we all split into 5 groups and using the ingredients that each of us named in the group, we had to make a dish out of all the ingredients. Some dishes sounded really good and creative and some sounded disgusting lol. Some were just really simple dishes hahaha. After that, we left for our BBQ dinner! Weee! XD

There was a lot of food there. There was mee hoon, fried rice, sausages, chicken wings, pumpkin soup, sweet potato, satay, some bread sticks, garlic bread and salad! =D. Lol, I tried all the food except the sweet potato as it ran out.. Was very full haha. Of course there were drinks also =D

So, after enjoying our food, we went back upstairs and had some games and sang some Christmas carols =). Then there was a short sketch which was very meaningful. And then there was sharing by someone. It was really touching and made me realise some things. Then we had the gift exchange musical chairs style XP. They played the song and passed the hats around and when the music stopped they had to pick a tiny piece of paper out of it which has a number to get their gift. It was fun =D.

And whoever who bought this gift, I really thank you =). It's really something can I can cherish and keep to remember this party.

This was what I got =)

I really enjoyed the party and was really sad to leave. I wish it would never have ended haha. I've had a lot of fun and I really thank God for the message that was spoken. I felt like it was a wake up call for me. I believe that He has been trying to get that message to me and He finally did.

Christmas Is Around The Corner

Ah, yet another time to celebrate Christ's birth is near again!

All the events that we've planned for Christmas. I hope it turns out well. =)

Every year comes and goes so fast. All the joy and happiness! All the memories! I never want to forget them. =D

Well, I hope that God will continue to bless everyone. I feel like I've been quite blessed ever since I started believing in Him.

May God bless everyone =)

A message

Dear Uncle,

I remember the times when I was younger, you always picked durians for my family and I to eat when we visited. There was also the time where you let me sit in front of you on the motorcycle and allowed me to accelerate the motorcycle. You love to make jokes and the whole family laughs together.

Now, you have gone to a better place. A place which I hope you'll be looking down on all of us and your family. Although the memories I can't really recall all of it, but still you've been a really great uncle. Every new year there will be times of laughter because of you. As the new year comes again, we will miss your presence but you'll live on in our hearts.

I hope that you passed away in peace and that all of us will not be too sad as you've gone away. We all love you and miss you. May your blessings be upon us.

Jason
